About the Course
Purpose:
The goal of the Practical Team Management course is to develop mid-level managers into leaders who not only manage processes but also focus on developing the skills and potential of their team members.
This approach fosters higher engagement, initiative, and results-oriented performance within teams, ultimately contributing to the achievement of the company’s business objectives.

- Plan team structures effectively and clearly define roles and responsibilities
- Develop, analyze, and optimize process maps
- Understand the impact of ineffective management styles (micromanagement, overly distant or authoritarian approaches) on team performance
- Establish a balanced management style focused on engagement and development
- Apply effective tools for problem identification and resolution
- Understand motivational systems and deliver constructive feedback effectively
- Develop Individual Development Plans (PDPs) for team members
- Recognize key delegation challenges and apply strategies to overcome them
- Define and analyze Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Apply effective conflict resolution strategies and foster a healthy team environment
- Improve communication with both management and team members, and manage expectations effectively
- Identify and address cognitive biases within team environments
Lecturers:
Lika Kovziridze
- Managing Partner of SMART Support, a business consulting and services company, with 20 years of experience in the service industry, including 15 years in leadership roles.
- She began her management career in the research industry at the international company Taylor Nelson Sofres, where she gained experience in global corporate standards and startup environments.
- Her career later continued at Bank of Georgia and multinational company Japan Tobacco International, where she developed strong expertise in international best practices in people management and strategic planning.
- Since 2015, she has held executive positions in research and HR outsourcing companies, both locally and internationally.
- In 2023, she founded her own consulting company, integrating her expertise to support businesses in solving complex strategic challenges.
- In addition to leading SMART Support, Lika collaborates with Smart Academy to design programs that help professionals acquire new competencies and deepen existing knowledge.
- Continuous learning is one of her core values. She has completed CU MBA, CIMA, Strategic Leadership Simulation (Michael Kouly), The Science of Well-Being (Yale University), and is a Certified Coach (Erickson Coaching International). She follows the Kaizen philosophy and is passionate about digitalization and automation.
Olga Nebieridze
- Chief People Officer at Cubicon.

Previously, Olga served as Chief Operating Officer at the audit and accounting services company FINO, where she gained diverse and extensive professional experience.
- After successfully graduating from Tbilisi State Medical University, she developed her career across multiple fields. She has experience in sales and has also successfully managed projects as a freelancer.
- Olga has a strong interest in behavioral biology, cognitive biases, and their impact on management and business processes. She has studied AGILE and SCRUM methodologies and was actively involved in implementing Agile-based project management at FINO.
- For the past ten years, Olga has been actively engaged in the finance sector and has completed the ACCA certification program.
