About the Course
Purpose
One of the key objectives of the Performance Management course is to equip HR professionals and business leaders with both theoretical and practical knowledge of strategic HR topics. This knowledge supports them in implementing performance evaluation systems, designing motivation schemes, developing employee growth plans, and fostering a culture of constructive feedback within their organizations.
The primary goal is practical application. Throughout the course, with the guidance of mentors, participants will develop and/or implement the tools and systems they study in theory within their chosen business direction.

- Target Audience:
HR specialists and business unit leaders who are interested in performance evaluation and motivation systems. - Requirements:
It is desirable for participants to have a professional interest in, or a practical need for, performance evaluation systems and motivational schemes in their current role.
Lecturers:

Lika Kovziridze
Business Partner at SMART Support
- Managing Partner of the business consulting and services company SMART Support, with 20 years of experience in the service sector, including 15 years in management roles;
- Lika’s management career began in the research industry at the international company Taylor Nelson Sofres, where she gained insight into international operational standards and the specific dynamics of working in a startup environment;
- Following her time at the agency, Lika transitioned to the corporate sector, working with Bank of Georgia and the multinational tobacco manufacturer Japan Tobacco International; there, she acquired valuable expertise and familiarized herself with international best practices in both employee management and strategic planning;
- Since 2015, Lika’s career has focused on the service sector—specifically research and HR outsourcing—holding management positions at both Georgian and international research firms;
- In 2023, Lika founded a consulting company that integrates the various fields in which she has gained experience, with the aim of supporting clients in resolving their business challenges;
- In addition to her core role at SMART Support, Lika works with Smart Academy to share knowledge and develop courses that help interested individuals acquire new professional skills and deepen their existing expertise.
- Learning and development are core values for Lika, and she is personally committed to continuous growth; she has completed programs such as CU MBA, CIMA, Strategic Leadership Simulation (Michael Kouly), The Science of Well-Being (Yale University), and Certified Coach (Erickson Coaching International), and is a proponent of the Kaizen philosophy as well as an enthusiast of digitalization and automation.

Etuna Zhvania
Head of HR & CX @ Archi
- A Human Resources and quality management professional with 22 years of work experience;
- Her HR career began at Constanta Bank and continued at TBC, where she served as Deputy Head of the HR Department;
- During her seven years in the banking sector, she gained experience managing company mergers as well as various other business process transformations;
- She participated in and gained extensive knowledge through the collaboration between TBC and Mercer, a leading global consulting firm;
- Etuna also possesses valuable experience in the insurance sector, having served as Head of HR at Irao—a member company of the Vienna Insurance Group;
- Currently, Etuna leads the HR and Quality departments at the development company Archi;
- She is passionate about sharing knowledge and, despite a demanding work schedule, is always ready to share her expertise and experience with students at Smart Academy.

Nino Mchedlishvili
Human Resources Director @ Lopota Lake Resort & Spa
- A Human Resources management professional with 13 years of experience;
- Nino began her HR career at Bank Republic, a multinational company within the Societe Generale Group known for its high organizational culture standards. Over five years, her HR career encompassed training and development, as well as recruitment, career development processes, and talent management;
- She continued her experience in the banking sector within TBC Bank’s HR team, focusing on human resources development; her role there involved managing performance assessment systems for middle and senior-level managers;
- In recent years, Nino has pursued a career in the construction industry. For five years, she served as the Administrative Director at JSC Energoni (an energy infrastructure construction company), where she oversaw the HR team and managed the full HR lifecycle (including strategy, administration, recruitment, performance assessment, compensation and benefits, and development);
- Currently, Nino holds the position of HR Director at Lopota Lake Resort & Spa; Prior to this, Nino served as the Head of the HR Department at Element Holding, which comprises around 15 independent companies operating in the construction sector;
- Nino is eager to share her accumulated knowledge and experience with Smart Academy students through a highly practice-oriented approach.
