Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervises all types of engineering work on both exterior and interior areas
  • Expertise in the management of equipment, including refrigeration, heating and air conditioning, plumbing, water treatment systems,
  • electrical and life safety systems, wells.
  • Ensures optimal operation, efficiency and safety of equipment.
  • Establishes and manages an effective facility maintenance program.
  • Ensures compliance with all Engineering Department policies, standards and procedures.
  • Manages departmental controlled expenditures to achieve budgeted goals
  • Selects and orders or purchases new equipment, supplies and other
  • Inspects and evaluates physical condition of facilities to determine type of work required.
  • Recommends or seeks additional service providers such as: repairs, maintenance of equipment, replacement of furniture and equipment, etc.
  • Oversees the daily operations of the Engineering Department. Maintains property standards
  • Maintains accurate logs and records as required.
  • Assists in effectively planning, scheduling, and evaluating preventive maintenance programs.
  • Effectively handles guest concerns and complaints.
  • Empowers staff to provide excellent, professional service.
  • Exhibits leadership by setting a personal example and creating a positive atmosphere for guest interactions.
  • Assists in prioritizing overall property maintenance needs.
  • Provides ongoing communication across all areas of responsibility to enhance business goals and achieve results.

  • Ensures that disciplinary procedures and documentation are completed in accordance with standard and local operating procedures (SOPs and LSOPs) and supports peer review processes.
  • Strategy and Budget: Prepares annual CAPEX/OPEX plans. (Prioritizes risk-results)

Qualification requirements:

  • Higher education:
  • Engineering/Energy/Construction – Experience:
  • 5+ years of experience in engineering and technical services or related field;
  • Technical training in HVAC-R/Electrical/Plumbing.
  • Including at least 2 years: in the management of a 200+ room hotel/resort or large-scale (City Mall, Tbilisi Mall, East Point; French Embassy scale) facility.
