The responsibilities of a Global Treasury Officer:

  • Management of banking and financial resources – overseeing all aspects of financial resource management, monitoring working capital, ensuring liquidity, and taking responsibility for cash, inventory, and financial asset management;
  • Daily management of treasury operations – assisting with payment processing, documentation organization/management of bank accounts, and reconciling bank account balances;
  • Managing company-wide payment processing in the FINCA Impact Finance (FIF) network;
  • Progressively structuring and defining the stages of the authorization and processing of transfer procedures and limits;
  • Establishing and maintaining identification and authorization procedures for handling cash and banking operations securely;
  • Ensuring existing banking relationships are maintained and establishing new financial partnerships as needed to meet the financial resource requirements. Liquidity management, planning, and budgeting;
  • Creating and updating weekly/monthly financial models for various financial assets, comparing actual financial assets, and performing dispersed analysis.

Qualifications:

  • CTP or CFA certification is preferred;
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field; a master’s degree is desirable;
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in treasury/financial resource management, asset management, or investments, preferably in the financial services industry and in an international context;
  • Expertise in policy, procedure, and governance review for multiple entities and donors. Knowledge and skills in financial management, policy development, and forecasting methodologies;
  • Knowledge of financial, banking, and corporate finance markets, capital markets, risk management, asset management, and currency management;
  • Familiarity with financial market operations and credit market operations, as well as knowledge of the structure of contracts for borrowing;
  • Knowledge of FX exposure management and the use of hedging instruments;
  • Proficiency in Excel at an advanced level.
