On September 28, we started the strategic HR – performance management course. There is no analogue of this course in the Georgian educational space, because a large part of it is based on practice, which involves the participants’ assembling an evaluation system and a motivational scheme in their own company (in one department selected by them).
At the beginning of the course, the participants chose a direction in their organization, in which they will process all the issues they will go through during the course. By this time, the KPIs of the direction and the head of the direction were signed. During the practical meetings, the mentors identified all the inaccuracies that were allowed in the work process and finally developed a correct version. We share students’ feedback about the course and their initial expectations:
“When choosing courses, I was most afraid of not choosing a course that would be superficial, where such issues that I already know would be discussed. I am very satisfied with this choice, because I could not get a similar experience anywhere else. The main part of the course is built on practice, which helps you to clarify the issue a lot. Also, it is diverse because all participants share the specifics of their field.”
“It is an interesting course full of necessary information. At this stage, I can choose the topic of bonus systems, discuss their differences and ways of planning. What is very important for me is a well-defined program, we have knowledgeable trainers, and the course includes an active practical part.”
“I am very satisfied with the course. Practical exercises help me to better understand all topics, which will further simplify the process of implementation in my company. It is interesting that I get to know the tasks of other participants of the course, who have an evaluation system for different departments, so we get to know the needs of different departments, which later on my I will use it as needed.”
“Theoretical material is presented in such a way that it is easy to transfer it into practice. The most interesting was the discussion of performance metrics and KPIs. It helped me to create and refine my evaluation model. The course is a great opportunity to meet amazing mentors, get the best advice from them and share Practice-based knowledge and experience.” “I am satisfied with the course, I chose the topic of evaluation systems and the practical part. Quite a lot of time was devoted to individually tailored practical work, which taught me how not to make mistakes when setting evaluation criteria. This is a two-in-one course, along with theoretical knowledge, I get a system tailored to the specifics of the company, with simulations and Taking into account the possibility of making mistakes, we actually do the pre-implementation work during the course and consider the possible objections that may occur during the implementation process.”
