Practice Based Recruitment Course – Third Month Review

In the third month of the course, students will be immersed in the practical application of knowledge acquired through their course purchases. During this period, they will be engaged in various types of projects, which will allow them to apply the theoretical and practical knowledge they have gained in the previous months to real-world scenarios.

In August, our guest lecturer was Nato Kvachantiradze, the HR Manager of Cenomi. Nato shared her career journey, the pivotal role she played during the selection process, and the importance of the skills and experience she gained through her career and studies.

Nato also discussed HR-related topics and her role in the organization. We greatly appreciate the opportunity for students to hear from professionals in HR, learn about their roles, and create their own understanding of this field.

Participants had the chance to attend a masterclass on the use of Excel, including Freeze Pane, Grouping, Basic Functions (Sum, Average, etc.), Cell references (relative, absolute, mixed $), Conditional formatting, and Data Validation (Drop-down lists).

We also explored various job search platforms, including LinkedIn, job websites, Facebook groups, and Facebook advertising.

The practical part of the course involved:

  • Defining the need for selection
  • Analysis and description of the job
  • Candidate profile development
  • Planning the selection process
  • Internal and external recruitment
  • Search for candidates
  • Legal aspects of candidate selection
  • Technical skills for processing collected information
  • Branding of the employer The practical part also included participation in real job interviews.

Feedback from students about ongoing processes in August:

Liza Chelidze –“The lectures and practical sessions in August introduced us to various new knowledge. Nato Kvachantiradze’s real-life examples and discussions on HR-related topics were very interesting. For me, Nato’s insights into the selection process and the application of Excel knowledge simplified my participation in the selection process and clarified my understanding of this process.”

Magda Okruashvili – “I wanted to divide my appreciation into both theoretical and practical parts. In the theoretical part, I really appreciated the diversity of topics covered. It was very motivating to hear different perspectives from various professionals who shared their views on HR, its role, and its significance in different industries. We know about outsourcing and insourcing selection differences, and I think this way, we receive information that simplifies our involvement in this process. The mentorship sessions provided valuable energy and time. I have already realized how important this knowledge is, which we acquire in theory and practice, and I think that this path will provide us with even stronger opportunities.”

Marika Svanishvili – “This month was very enriching and loaded with various components. I gained knowledge, both theoretical and practical, which was greatly facilitated by the theoretical part of the course, as well as by the practical part of selection organized by SMART Support. The practical part included in-depth learning and practical use of Excel and job search platforms. Moreover, my full involvement in the practical part of the selection process was invaluable.”
