About the course
Purpose
The goal of the HR Management course is to familiarize students with the basic principles, objectives, and administrative processes of human capital management and to be able to apply them in practice through unique assignments and simulations. The student will be able to create assessment, training, and development strategies in the organization, and develop organizational processes, procedures, and policies based on analytics and data.

What requirements should you meet?
- To enroll in the HR Management course, students must have at least a B1 level of English proficiency.
Lecturers
Lika Kovziridze
- Managing Partner of the business consulting and services company SMART Support, with 20 years of experience in the service industry, including 15 years in management positions.
- Lika’s management career began in the research industry at the international company Taylor Nelson Sofres, where she gained experience in international corporate standards and startup dynamics.
- After agency experience, her career continued on the business side at Bank of Georgia and multinational tobacco manufacturer Japan Tobacco International, where she accumulated valuable expertise and became familiar with international best practices in both people management and strategic planning.
- Since 2015, her career has again been connected to the service sector, research, and HR outsourcing, holding executive leadership roles in both Georgian and international research companies.
- In 2023, Lika founded her own consulting company, bringing together all her accumulated expertise with the goal of supporting businesses in solving strategic challenges.
- Alongside her core activities at SMART Support, Lika collaborates with Smart Academy to develop educational programs that help individuals acquire new professions and deepen existing knowledge.
- Continuous learning and development are core values for her. She has completed CU MBA, CIMA, Strategic Leadership Simulation (Michael Kouly), The Science of Well-Being (Yale University), Certified Coach (Erickson Coaching International) programs. She is a follower of the Kaizen philosophy and passionate about digitalization and automation.
Etuna Zhvania
- Human Resources and Quality Management professional with 13 years of experience.
- Etuna began her HR career at Bank Constanta and continued at TBC Bank, where she served as Deputy Head of the HR Department.
- During her 7 years in the banking sector, she gained significant experience in mergers and large-scale business transformation processes.
- She also participated in and gained valuable experience from the collaboration between global consulting leader MERCER and TBC.
- Additionally, she has strong experience in the insurance sector at Vienna Insurance Group’s member company IRAO, where she held the position of Head of HR.
- Currently, Etuna leads HR and Service Quality at the development company Archi.
- She is passionate about knowledge sharing and, despite a busy professional schedule, actively supports Smart Academy students by sharing her expertise and practical insights.
Sopo Kacharava
- Partner at SMART Support and Lead of Development Direction.
- She has 5 years of experience in HR, specializing in recruitment.
- Sopo is experienced in IT & Tech recruitment principles and has worked with companies across various industries, understanding their specific needs and operational nuances.
- In addition to recruitment, she has worked on digitalization and process optimization initiatives.
- She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Management and Social Sciences.
Lela Kekua
- HR and Professional Development expert with 15 years of experience.
- Her HR career began at Caucasus Online as a Recruitment Manager.
- She later worked at ICR as a Training and Career Development Manager.
- After 8 years in the service industry, she led the HR Department at Georgian Railway, one of the largest employers in Georgia.
- During her tenure at Georgian Railway, she supervised a vocational education project in collaboration with the Railway Transport College.
- She has also worked as an HR Management Consultant at Adjara Group.
- Currently, Lela represents the Georgian office of the international company IBA Group.
- For Lela, continuous self-development and sharing new experiences with students—supporting their professional growth and helping them overcome challengesare key priorities.
